English Language Program

Basic & Advance Course 

Develop your English language skills so you can communicate fluently, flexibly and effectively and build a vocabulary of about 8,000 words. 

In this course you will:

  • Understand a wide range of demanding English texts and recognize implicit meanings.
  • Develop the skills to express yourself fluently and spontaneously in English without much obvious searching for expressions.
  • Practice how to use English flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes.
  • Learn how to produce detailed texts which use sophisticated organizational structures.
  • Study subjects such as sport, money, the arts and time.
  • Focus on technical issues, for example, adding emphasis and hypothetical meaning.

The course features a broad range of lessons and subjects covering vocabulary and phrases on subjects likes sport, money, the arts and time to more technical lessons on adding emphasis, dependent propositions and hypothetical meaning. This course is perfect if you are preparing for you Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE). 

 

Pre IELTS preparatory course 

Pre-IELTS is a course specially developed by GTC for students who need to take the IELTS exam but whose level of English is too low to achieve a desirable score or to join a standard exam preparation course. It is an intensive 10-15 week course only available at GTC. The Core pre training is designed to provide a pathway to the language testing system. Since the outcome of student input is related to a specific band calculated taking into consideration each skill result, students are encouraged to take this pathway to make an easier choice to prepare flexibly and step by step.

IELTS students will have four hours of classes per day, including a period of guided self study. Areas covered will include:

  • Understanding the IELTS exam sections
  • pondering on and analyzing common IELTS topics.
  • Developing study skills with time challenge
  • Improving academic and discreet  vocabulary
  • Understanding question prompts
  • Practicing note taking
